Expression 2 Has Shipped!

I am so excited! I checked my HSN order last night and it said my E2 had shipped! When I tried to track my order it kept telling me it had an invalid tracking number! Finally, this evening it has left Knoxville, TN and is in transit to Nashville! Knoxville is only about 3 hours from here! That means it will travel right past me! My delivery date is still 05/05/11; but I bet it comes tomorrow afternoon! Check out the picture in the previous post - that is what I'm getting! I already updated my Gypsy and my Imagine so I can update my E2 upon arrival!  I will make something ASAP and post it along with some pictures! YAY!

Happy Easter!

I have been working on Easter goodies for the grand kids. I think they turned out very cute! I got these $1 buckets from Target. I cut a cupcake wrapper from "Cindy Loo" to wrap most of the way around the bucket. I added a scalloped square and layered a rounded square from "Mini Monograms" to cover the gap. I used white stickers for their names. I also added the leaping rabbits from "Easter 2010".  Then I filled them with all kinds of treats! They have sunglasses, carrot shaped bubbles, play doh, suckers, and lots of candy!
Tomorrow will be our Egg hunt! I've been filling plastic eggs for over an hour! Better remember to charge up the camera! Happy Easter!

Easter Cards!

Good morning! I forgot last night that I had also finished up these Easter cards. These were made with the Easter 2010 cartridge. I used Core'dinations Gemstones cardstock that Joann's had on sale last weekend. I think they were 5 sheets for .95!  I didn't show any of the insides but I finished them with the "happy Easter" cutout from the same cartridge. Enjoy!

P.S. A very happy birthday to my youngest daughter who turns 20 years old today! Happy, Happy Birthday Maggie! I love you!

Easter Gifts!

Hi everyone! I had to stay up and finish these little treat bags that I made with my Imagine. This was a project in the current Cricut Magazine. I had printed and cut them last week and finally got the treats to go inside! After scoring and folding, I added a couple of little candy bars, wrapped pink ribbon around them, and added an initial of the person they are going to. I thought about adding a tag - but nah! They are cute as is!  I hope you enjoy looking and come back soon!

My Sweet William!

I love this layout! I was folding laundry and William was laying in the middle of my bed. He started jabbering at me so I grabbed my camera and laid down facing him. I just kept snapping away! First he was surprised - then had to think about what Granny was doing - then decided I was hysterically funny! Isn't he adorable?
As a side note, I don't seem to be able to take good pictures of my projects - any tips would be welcomed.

Mini Album

This project is a work in progress!  I am making this for my son and daughter-in-law. It will feature their four children. I used the Graphically Speaking cartridge to cut the "Got Kids" and then Plantin Schoolbook for the little tags with names. I added a little rhinestone to the hole at the top of the tags. Each page of the mini album is covered with coordinating colors with all the edges inked. I am now ready to add pictures and embellishments and finish up with rings and ribbons! Can you tell there are three boys and one girl? :)

Layouts of Twin Grandsons

I have not been able to scrap very much lately! Work has been crazy busy with the end of the school year fast approaching. I have also been able to attend a couple of baseball games! I'll be posting a layout or two of that as soon as I print the pictures!
I made these layouts of two of my grandsons. Cheerios and cookies...two of their favorite things!

Clearance Sale!

I found these memo cubes on clearance at Michael's for a quarter!  Of course, they were plain wood with this huge paper clip stuck in the top.  I wanted to play with my Imagine and I wanted to cover the cubes with cool paper.  So - two birds with one stone!  I chose the squarish shape on the Imagine machine, sized it to the size of the cube, and filled each shape with a different pattern.  Then I simply mod podged everything together! I took the paper clip out so I could cover the top, too!  I inked the edges and adhered photos; again with mod podge.  Then I poked the paper clip back into the top! Perfect desktop gift for a very inexpensive price tag!  Lovin' my Imagine - and Clearance sales!

Flower!

Happy Sunday! It is beautiful here this weekend so I have been outside for most of it! Our pool is officially open although the water is much too cold for me!  I spent some time messing around with the flowers I had cut from grungepaper.  I obviously need some practice! It is ok but not quite what I had hoped.  I used Ranger brand fired brick ink on the grungepaper and even though I let everything dry good, I still have it all over my hands! Anyway, I have several more flowers cut out so I will continue to play with them until I get the hang of it!

New Cartridges!

Happy Thursday! Busy day after work, cleaning up debris from the storm on Monday. Then the mail came! I had ordered two cartridges from Custom Crops and one from the Cricut website. They all came today! I was done working for the day! Here is what came. I have been searching for the Lori's Garden cart since a friend showed me hers...no one has had it until this past week it was on the Cricut website! Custom Crops has regular and Imagine carts at great prices so I got two! Now I'm going to play for a while!

No Electricity! No Post!

Hi everyone! I did not get to post a project last night. We had a really bad storm and the power was out for quite some time. Instead of posting a project, I thought I'd post some pictures of the damage here. They say it was not a tornado but we had horizontal rain, hail, and unbelievable wind!

Look!

Here are the almost finished products! Isn't that little bag too cute! It is the perfect size for a couple of Easter candies, a pack of gum, etc.  See page 23 of the April/May Cricut Magazine. It says to use the Imagine More cartridge but it is the Imagine More Cards cartridge. I print & cut it at 5 1/2" so it would be easier to fold. I also used Core'dinations Gemstones cardstock for the letters.

I still need to get the frames for this sweet Mother's Day project. I think it turned out pretty good. This is on page 11 of the April/May Cricut Magazine. I am not good at stitching so I cheated and used a marker! Hope you like what I did!  I followed the directions in the magazine but used what I had on hand to actually make the projects. Thanks for looking.

Mother's Day

Lazy Sunday

Hi everyone! I am spending a very relaxing day playing in my scrap room! I got out my Cricut Magazine and decided to try some stuff from there. I used my Imagine to create a little gift bag - but I have not folded it yet. It's the polka dot paper. I also created a Mother's Day project using the A Child's Year cartridge. It will go in a 5x7 frame. I went ahead and made several for gifts. Now I just have to get the frames.  I also played around with some Tim Holtz grungepaper. That's the red flowers.  I cut them using the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge that the magazine said to use. I'm having a bit of trouble putting it all together.  I don't seem to have enough hands to hold everything!  I'll keep at it til I get it close enough! Have a great rest of your Sunday!
